About Senator Kyle McCarter
Kyle McCarter is a small business owner and community leader from Lebanon, Illinois.
Kyle brings to the State Senate the experience of owning and operating a small business. Kyle employs fifteen individuals at two manufacturing facilities, which produce among other items emergency respiratory and specialized fitness equipment. As a business owner, Kyle knows state government must play a productive role in fostering economic development and job growth in Illinois.
A leader in his community, Kyle has served on the O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for six years, including two years as President. He also served as Chairman of the Economic Development Committee from 2004-2008. In each of these roles, Kyle has fought hard to create more good paying jobs in our area.
While raising his family and operating a business in St. Clair County, Kyle was appointed to fill a vacancy on the St. Clair County Board in 2002. Since then, Kyle has won re-election three times with no less 55 percent of the vote. One of Kyle’s main priorities is property tax reform, and he has taken the initiative to create a citizen action organization to combat rapidly rising property taxes.
Kyle and his wife Victoria have been married for 25 years and together have two sons, Zachary (21) and Austin (18). He is a 1984 graduate of Oral Roberts University with a degree in Accounting. Kyle is a member of Faith Family Church in Shiloh and a Board Member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes Metro-East-St. Louis and Mercy Ministries.
