Senator Randy Hultgren

Randy Hultgren was elected to the Illinois State Senate to represent the 48th District in 2006 after serving for 8 years in the House of Representatives. The 48th District includes parts of DuPage, Kane, and Will counties and all or part of Batavia, Geneva, Naperville, North Aurora, Warrenville, West Chicago, Wheaton, and Winfield.

Senator Hultgren’s priorities have always been those of the families in the communities he represents – public safety, education, taxes, responsible government, and affordable healthcare. He has a record of strongly supporting lawsuit and malpractice reform, protecting woodland and open space, and fighting to protect senior citizens and consumers against identity theft. Senator Hultgren successfully blocked anti-business legislation and a bill that would have hurt consumers by creating additional taxes on the sale of gasoline.

Randy Hultgren has been involved in a number of local organizations, including serving on the Metropolitan Family of DuPage Board, the Koinonia Ministry Board, the Serenity House Board, and is President of the Wheaton Academy Alumni Board. He served on the DuPage County Board and Forest Preserve Board from 1994-1998. He is a member of Wheaton Bible Church.

Born in 1966 in Park Ridge, he graduated from Wheaton Academy in 1984, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bethel College in 1988, and earned a Juris Doctorate from Chicago-Kent School of Law in 1993. He is Vice President and Partner of Fortress Financial Management and Corporate Retirement Solutions Group. He resides in Winfield with his wife, Christy, and four children, Karsten, Kylie, Kaden, and Koleson.
