Senator Bill Brady
Bill Brady has served in the Senate since 2002 having previously served in the House of Representatives from 1993 to 2001.
Brady is currently the Republican Spokesman for the Insurance & Pensions Committee and a member of Labor & Commerce and Agriculture & Conservation committees. He also serves on the Pension Laws Commission.
As a legislator, Brady has worked to increase education accountability and funding. He reformed workers compensation and tort law. He championed insurance and financial reforms that were later used as a national model. He is most noted for legislation guaranteeing health insurance for retired teachers.
Locally, he is a member of the Bloomington/Normal Association of Realtors, Illinois Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, McLean County Chamber of Commerce, and Bloomington/Normal Home Builders Association.
Senator Brady graduated from Central Catholic High School and Illinois Wesleyan University. He is a businessman.
Senator Brady and his wife, Nancy, live in Bloomington. They have three children.
